When you receive a card payment through Aiden Books, it’s normal for it to first appear as Pending before becoming Available. This is not a delay caused by Aiden, but the standard operation of card payments worldwide.
How does it work?
- Your customer pays the invoice with their card
- The payment enters your balance immediately as Pending
- For a few days, the payment is in settlement processing
- After this period, the money is released and becomes Available
- You can now transfer it to your bank
How long does it take to be released?
The typical period is between 2 and 7 days, depending on the card type, your customer’s country, and your payment history. As your account matures, these timelines tend to shorten.
Why does this period exist?
It’s a security mechanism in the card payment system. It protects both the buyer and the seller against fraud, chargebacks, and errors. All payment platforms work this way—it’s not something specific to Aiden.
Do I need to do anything?
No. The transition from Pending to Available is automatic. Simply wait for the settlement period to complete.
