A failed payment is no cause for alarm: it’s common and almost always has a quick solution. The important thing is to resolve it promptly, because if a subscription charge fails repeatedly, the associated service may end up being suspended. Here we explain why it happens and how to fix it.
Common causes
- Expired card or insufficient funds — the most frequent cause. Check the expiry date and available balance.
- Your bank blocked the charge — banks sometimes hold back transactions they consider unusual (a first charge from a new merchant, an amount different from the usual). Usually a call to your bank or approving the transaction from their app is enough.
- Incorrect card details — a misplaced digit in the number, expiry date or CVC causes the payment to be rejected instantly.
How to fix it
- Go to My Account → Billing → Payment methods
- Update or add a valid payment method — you can correct the current card or add a new one
- The system will automatically retry the charge — you don’t need to do anything else; as soon as the retry completes, everything returns to normal
If the problem persists
- The retry fails again: confirm with your bank that the card accepts online payments and recurring charges.
- Your bank requests authentication (3D Secure): approve the transaction from your bank’s app when you receive the notification.
- No card is working: try another payment method accepted by Aiden.
💡 Tip: don’t wait until the last retry. As soon as you receive notice of a failed payment, update your payment method — this way you avoid service suspension catching you at the worst time.
If you’ve updated your payment method and the charge still isn’t processing, write to us at support@aiden.es with the date and amount of the attempt, or ask Lunnar in the chat — we’ll review it right away.
