If you ever want to stop using a payment method connected to Aiden Books, you can easily disconnect it. The process is secure and does not affect your existing data.
How to disconnect
- Go to Books → Integrations
- Locate the connected integration you want to unlink (for example, Stripe)
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the action
What happens when you disconnect?
- Your existing invoices are not affected: those you have already issued and collected remain intact
- Your data is preserved: customers, products, history — everything stays
- You can no longer charge with that method: you won’t be able to generate new payment links with that integration until you reconnect it
Can I reconnect it?
Yes. You can reconnect an integration at any time from the same Books → Integrations section, following the standard connection process. Your data will still be there.
When should you disconnect?
- If you switch Stripe accounts and want to connect the new one
- If you stop using a specific payment method
- If you need to troubleshoot by reconnecting from scratch
💡 Tip: if you only want to change your Stripe account, disconnect the current one and connect the new one immediately, so you don’t lose the ability to accept card payments in the meantime.
