To offer card payments on your invoices, you need to connect your own Stripe account to Aiden Books. This ensures that the money from your payments goes directly to your account, not to an intermediate Aiden account.
What is Stripe Connect?
Stripe is the world’s leading payment processor. Stripe Connect is the system that allows Aiden Books to securely link your Stripe account, without Aiden ever having access to your money or your customers’ card details.
Step-by-step guide to connecting Stripe
- Go to Books → Integrations and click Connect → on the Stripe card (or go to Settings → Stripe)
- The official Stripe authorisation page will open
- Log in with your existing Stripe account, or create a new one at that moment (it’s free)
- Authorise Aiden Startup to connect with your account
- Stripe redirects you back to the dashboard and the integration becomes active automatically
Don’t have a Stripe account?
No problem. During the connection process you can create a new Stripe account. You’ll need your company details and a bank account to receive the money. The process is free and activation is usually immediate.
What fees apply?
For each card payment, Stripe’s fees apply (usually between 1.4% and 2.9% plus a small fixed fee, depending on the card and country) plus a small Aiden commission for the use of the payment portal.
