How to accept card payments from your customers

Aiden Books allows you to accept card payments from your customers in a professional and secure way. When you enable this feature, your invoices can include a payment link and the money goes directly into your balance.

Prerequisite: connect Stripe

To accept card payments, you need to have your Stripe account connected. If you haven’t done so yet, go to Books → Integrations and connect Stripe (it’s free and quick). The money from your payments always goes to your account, not to an intermediary.

How to accept card payments step by step

  1. Create an invoice in Books → Invoices → New invoice
  2. When setting up the payment method, select Card payment
  3. Send the invoice to your customer
  4. Your customer receives a link to the payment portal at invoice.aiden.es
  5. They pay securely with their card, with no need to register
  6. The payment enters your balance and the invoice is automatically marked as Paid

How long does it take for the money to arrive?

The payment is processed instantly, but the money first appears as Pending while it settles (usually between 2 and 7 days), and then becomes Available so you can transfer it to your bank.

Fees

Each card payment includes Stripe’s fees (typically 1.4%-2.9% plus a fixed fee) plus a small fee from Aiden for the payment portal.

💡 Tip: the payment portal works perfectly on mobile. Many customers pay immediately after receiving the email from their phone, which speeds up your payments significantly.
