Does Books replace accounting software?
Books covers invoicing and day-to-day financial tracking: invoices, expenses, payments and reports. For complete official accounting with complex tax filings, you’ll need certified accounting software or support from an accountant. For most small businesses and freelancers, Books covers the essentials.
Do my customers need an Aiden account to pay?
No. Your customers receive a payment link by email and can pay from their browser without registering or creating any account.
Can I issue invoices in different currencies?
Yes. You can set a default currency (EUR, GBP or USD) in Settings and change it on each invoice individually based on your customer.
How much does Aiden charge for the card payment portal?
Aiden applies a small commission on amounts collected through invoice.aiden.es, in addition to Stripe’s own fees (typically between 1.4% and 2.9% plus a fixed transaction fee).
Can I issue credit notes?
Yes. To correct an invoice already issued, you have two options: cancel the original and issue a new corrected one, or create a new invoice with a negative amount, noting in the comments the number of the invoice you’re correcting.
Are paid invoices automatically recorded in my reports?
Yes. As soon as an invoice reaches Paid status (manually or automatically via Stripe), it appears as income in your P&L and in all reports for the corresponding period.
Can I customise the appearance of my invoices?
Yes. By uploading your logo and completing your company details in Settings, your invoices will have a professional appearance personalised with your branding.
