What Stripe will ask for
- A registered company: your Ltd at Companies House or your LLC in Delaware. Stripe verifies the details against the registry, so enter the exact legal name and registration number
- EIN if you have an LLC: essential for Stripe in the US. If you don’t have one yet, start with our EIN guide
- Company address: the registered address provided to you by Aiden
- Your identity: passport or ID document of the representative and any owners with significant shareholding
- A bank account in the company’s name: where Stripe deposits your payments (Wise or Revolut Business work perfectly)
- A website or clear business description: Stripe reviews what you sell; a website consistent with your business activity speeds up approval
Tips for activation
- Complete consistency: legal name, address and business activity must match across Stripe, the business registry and your website
- Complete 100% of your profile: partially verified accounts often end up with payments on hold
- Set up taxes from day one: if you sell in Europe with your Ltd, check whether VAT registration applies to you
